The Nanook swim team opened their season Saturday, Oct. 3 with their Blue and Gold meet, where the team split in half and the athletes raced against each other.
The swimmers were required to compete in every event, even though during a normal meet they only compete in three or four events.
The blue team started the meet out strong, with two wins after the first two events, and the higher score going into the final event. However, the gold team managed to come up from behind and win the last event, setting the final score to be 311-298 for a gold win.
The Nanooks continue their season with three home meets, the first of which will be Friday, Oct. 16 against Azusa Pacific at the Patty pool.
